portico
(vespers)
FRIDAYS,7:30 P.M.
What's
a portico? Basically, it's a fancy word for "front porch." Ancient
Greek and Roman buildings had overhangs in front of them supported by
columns that served as entry ways. With no walls, porticos were places
where people gathered to talk. In many ways, this symbolizes what
vespers will be like at Advent Hope this summer. On Friday evenings, we
will meet for thoughtful conversations on array of topics that pertain
to life, faith, and culture.
There are no walls. We welcome all.
